Visit to Madrid
Welcome to today's blog. Today we are going to visit the city of Madrid. It was a famous city in Spain. Apart from being famous. Madrid is also the capital. My lovely wife is with me on this interesting trip. Now we are in Barcelona, Spain.
From here we will travel by high speed train to reach our destination Madrid city. The interior of the high speed train was very nice and there we get free Wifi on the train as well. The train is the same as there are high speed trains here in Spain.
After some time we reached Madrid. After arriving in this city, we started looking for Wifi because it was available on the train and so far we have also not found our hotel. Didn't make a reservation so we wawlked out of the station to look for a McDonalds or subway.
After exiting the station we saw a very dramatic sight outside that they had placed huge children's heads for decoration. A friend of mine came from the station. He has been living in Madrid for some time. By the way, my friend is an American guy but because he lives in Madrid.
My friend suggests a hotel. The hotel was some distance away. After reaching there we got a room at a very reasonable price. When we reached the hotel it was really amazing but it was very late at night, so my wife said we needed a rest tonight. After resting for the night, we have breakfast and left for our destination.
Plaza Mayor:
Today we are going to the famous and beautiful place of Madrid City Plaza Mayor. Plaza Mayor is the main attraction for tourists from all over the Spain and world. his plaza dates back to the fifteenth century. Once called Plaza Del Arrabal but now known as Plaza Mayor.
After entering the Plaza Mayor we saw in front of us a bronze statue of King Philip III in the middle of the square. It was Built in 1616, and the statue was a gift from the Duke of Florence. Large numbers of tourists flocked to see the architecture.
People were taking pictures of themselves sitting here. There are excellent seats where one can sit and relax as my wife and I did. We used to go to this place. There are many restaurants where very delicious food is available but all these restaurants are very expensive in Plaza Mayor.
The food that was available here was expensive but it was very cheap in other places in Madrid. But without this food and experience in madrid did not complete. It is also necessary to visit this place. After wandering around here, we left for our next destination.
Museo Nacional Del Prado:
Now we are going to another famous place in Madrid city called Museo Prado, officially known as Museo Nacional Del Prado. This museum is the Spanish national art museum located in the beautiful city of Madrid.
Regarded as the finest collection of European art. The museum houses archeological artifacts from the twelfth to the twentieth centuries that are not part of the former Spanish royal collection. The Museo Prado was founded in 1919 as a museum of painting and sculpture.
The museum also houses important collections of other types of works. It is one of the most visited art museums, besides, there are many paintings here which are more than eight thousand, including artists, European people like these paintings very much.
All the paintings were very beautiful in these paintings. There was a glimpse of artistry. Going a little further we also found out that there are more than nine hundred statues in the Museo Nacional Del Prado and there are more than 38 ancient weapons.
In many of these paintings, we could see Spanish culture and civilization. that was highlighting the history of Spain. Museo Nacional Del Prado is one of the most visited places in the city that's why we got to see the crowds of tourists here. The sculpture and paintings felt very real in Museo Prado.
There are so many types of sculptures and paintings in Museo Prado. I can not describe in detail but I can appreciate them all in a few words. After exploring all over Museo Prado we went to a restaurant as we both were very hungry. After eating we left for our next destination.
EI Retiro Park:
Now we are going to go to the most famous park in Madrid, Spain, which is called Retiro Park. Now we are on the way to the EI Retiro park. EI Retiro Park is at a distance, As we entered the park. We saw many people walking, one thing I like more in Europe is that there are many gardens here.
All of them are peaceful gardens and in these gardens I always find some cafeteria where we can drink good coffee and enjoy the view. We got to see a lot of people around taking pictures of this beautiful lake and also some people were performing their art some were playing music some were playing the guitar.
There was a magic show where we saw we were having a lot of fun here in this park. There is also a huge statue of Columbus we are going to explore it the best thing in Europe is here Someone or the other is putting on a show and entertaining the people.
Here also a similar scene was going on. There were boats sailing in the lake. We also sat in this boat. Lake was very peaceful, there were people watching and birds chirping and statues in the distance as well as lots of families enjoying boating.
Further we saw a crystal palace. It is entirely made of glass. There is also a very beautiful fountain near which we took pictures and after that we went to our hotel.
