Visit to Barcelona
Today we are going to a very beautiful city in Spain which is very popular and its name is Barcelona. Barcelona city is very famous and popular due to its impressive history, cultural monuments and magnificent architecture. Barcelona city is older than Rome.
Barcelona is the 2nd largest city due to its population. It has a population above 1.6 million. Barcelona city is mostly known for its beaches and all these beaches are artificial. Yes, it is artificial. It is not natural. Among the top 10 beach cities in the world Barcelona is included.
There are also great outdoor restaurants and hotels. Today, I have three friends with me on this exciting beautiful trip. We will try to go best places in Barcelona. We arrived in Barcelona at night. We had a great flight. After landing at the airport we took a taxi and went to our hotel which we booked online.
My friends also liked the view. We reached our hotel late at night so we had dinner at the hotel which was very delicious. Decided to go to our destination in the morning. We went to our beds to rest for the night.
La Sagrada Familia:
Today we are going to visit the most famous building in Barcelona, Spain called the La Sagrada Familia. This is an unfinished ancient church in Barcelona city which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As far as we know, this beautiful La Sagrada Familia building was built in 1882.
The construction of the building was started and the construction of the building will be stopped several times due to various reasons, sometimes due to the change of the architect here, sometimes due to the 1936 Spanish Civil War and recently due to the coronavirus.
It was built on the south-east side, this 300 feet high and 200 feet wide Sagrada Familia building has a capacity of 9,000 people. Its height is about 560 feet. Only 8 of its 18 minarets have yet to be completed and the Sagrada Familia are still under construction.
Due to Sagrada Familia building 3 million tourists come here to see it. From April to September, the peak of tourism is here. It seems that the reason for the wait is that there is a certain number of people who can go inside the Sagrada Familia. People wait until the number of tourists inside decreases.
If anyone does not want to wait in line. Online tickets anyone can do it because of all these reasons we chose this place. We reached the La Sagrada Familia building in the morning. Online tickets were available for 20 Euros per person if taken with the audio guide it would be 26 Euros.
The tower tour should be added and the ticket is 33 euros. We checked in and went straight inside. We heard that once you get the ticket to Sagrada Familia you can spend as much time inside as you want. The place was made entirely white from the inside, on which a very beautiful architecture was also done.
Apart from us, there were many people inside who were looking at the beauty of the place and beautiful pictures and videos were being made. It was great to see the Sagrada Familia building. After exploring the place well, we also found out that the building was completed by around 2026.
As far as we heard from the people here. Saying that every year the management gives a new date lets it will be completed after that we went out because we had explored the place. Go out we had our second coffee of the day which is very tasty after that we left for our next destination.
Casa Batllo:
Now we are going to another famous place called Casa Batllo. At that time when we were on the way the weather was very beautiful. After a while it started raining. I thought today will be a sunny day. But no matter what, Casa Batllo was located at a distance from our hotel.
We were walking and saw many people carrying umbrellas along the way. Casa Batllo was originally built in 1877 and was designed by Antoni Gaudi, who was Gaudi's professor in architecture. This room is very popular because of its beauty.
At first people thought this emirate was very ordinary and old emirate, but when Gaudi made changes to it. It came out in the form of a wonderful place. This place is beautiful, mostly famous for one thing the roof part of this building is like a dragon's back.
We will also go to see it from outside. If anyone wants to be a first who visits Casa Batllo first he will pay 29 euros. The person can be the first person to visit this Casa Batllo. Because very few people have permission to come at earlier.
Casa Batllo can be enjoyed even more because of the blue tiles of the place. The blue tiles look like you are swimming in the sea. After seeing the beauty of the blue tiles we went to another floor from the stairs were we see a store.
There are many things like t-shirts, keychains, bracelets and many more that one can buy from here. We bought our shirts which were made of very good quality also they put our names on them. The Casa Batllo is amazing even though the washrooms here were intricately built.
After that we went to the roof from the stairs. As we heard this part of Casa Batllo can be rented for any wedding or event function. It looked clean as if the sunlight fell on this roof, and all the vibrant colors of each started to shine.
After that we went to a balcony which is famous for its designs and most of the people also like to take pictures there. Taking pictures here can be a bit expensive but really worth it because the pictures are so memorable that we can also frame them and put it on our table.
We had to pay twelve euros to take the picture, but we were happy that the picture came out very beautifully. This Casa Batlao building is also included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is very interesting to walk around Casa Batllo.
After exploring the place we went out to eat and after eating we headed to our hotel as we were very tired.
